The Maher Sports and Wellness Centre offers a comprehensive range of health services including Physical Therapy, Sports Medicine and Women's Health.

We are one of a few rehabilitation practices in the nation to offer multi-modality Urinary Incontinence treatment.

We use state of the art equipment and techniques including Biofeedback, Electromyography, Rehabilitative Ultrasound Imaging and Dry Needling to help diagnose and treat your problem.

Physical Therapy

Dr. Ruth Maher is a Physical Therapist and a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Women's Health. She is a member of the Irish, Australian and American Physical Therapy Associations.

Physical Therapy is a health care profession dedicated to the prevention, evaluation, rehabilitation and treatment of physical dysfunction and injury.

Physical Therapy is useful in the early stages of a joint or soft tissue (muscle or ligament) injury to relieve pain, enhance movement and aid the healing process.

Dry Needling

Dry Needling (Trigger Point Needling) is a cost effective and efficient technique for the treatment of myofascial pain and dysfunction. The approach is based on Western anatomical and neurophysiological principles and should not be confused with the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) technique of acupuncture.
